I really hate these giant picture posts but whatever, Anyway, last Saturday(A week ago) I went with my host dad and rode bikes to Praia Norte(A beach close to town with a fort, but it’s really rocky so people don’t go there to spend a day at the beach) and to the end of the harbour arm where there’s a lighthouse and you have a view of Viana from the water and the ocean too. Then we went to the fort in town near the Ribeira which is the neighborhood of town where all the fisherman live/fish stalls are/harbour. Then on Sunday my host family and I took the elevador de santa luzia or funicular/tram to the top of the mountain where there’s this massive church and a view of the whole city/ocean/river/mountains from up there. So here are the pictures:

One of the stairwells to the top of Santa Luzia, one stairwell had a light at the beginning and it would turn red or green to let you know if you could go up because it was so small only one person could go up or down at a time
