"Saudade" is a word in Portuguese, a noun meaning strong longing, feelings of nostalgia, and or missing something. No other language in the world has a word for this feeling. When using it you say "Tenho Saudades" which directly translated means "I have longings/nostalgia."
This is a post about things in the U.S. that I miss, things that you wouldn't even think you'd miss or are important.

Sunshine
Oh yeah, I miss my family too.
Where did you get that sunshine picture? Too funny, following one of the millions of lawn maintenance trucks in CFla.
ReplyDeleteAnd I know the picture of driving isn't you because A. car is in right lane, B. hands are on the 10 and 2 !!
Tbone misses you too. When you first left, he was in your room ALL THE TIME, I think he was looking for you and missing you too. He slept in there every night up until about a week ago. He still goes in there, and I don't wash the comforter because it probably still has your "smell" on it... he's so sensitive ... and a good brother ; )
